Job Description
The SGS Connectivity & Products (C&P) Division is accelerating its development in North America (NAM) and is looking for an M&A Director.
Reporting to the C&P Vice President -Business Development NAM , your role will be to focus on our external growth with a strong focus on the new market trends and customers’ expectations related to new technologies.
In line with our strategic goals, you will identify some company targets or relevant partners to approach and lead the process until the final closing of the deal.
More specifically, you will:
- Define the needs of the Strategic Business Units (SBU) Heads, identify and qualify a list of companies of high interest
- Act as the primary business representative to establish the contact with key decision makers
- Lead the appropriate discussions and actions to prepare a successful case
- Constantly search for new targets to add on our list and report progress on weekly basis
- Cooperate closely with our Corporate Development Team to identify targets and engage management, assist with due diligence and help achieve deal closing
- Propose the Business integration team and follow up the the progress of a successful integration
Qualifications
To be successful, we would expect you to have:
- At least 6 years’ experience of business development in an international environment within a global company, familiar with Merging & Acquisition process and projects
- Relevant technical background to understand the strategic fit to SGS global C&P services
- Strategically minded, business driven and with the ability to identify opportunities for improvements,
- Team player and a proven strong leadership skills
- Agile, you have a broad understanding of new trends and shifts in technology, constantly on the edge to identify what could benefit the organization’s business needs and budget
