JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Description of responsibilities and minimum qualifications:
Assist with planting, pruning, and harvesting of apple and peach trees
Conduct regular maintenance tasks to ensure optimal tree health
Participate in fruit assessment activities and sample preparation in the lab
Learn and apply lab techniques for analyzing soil and fruit samples
Contribute to ongoing research projects related to sustainable orchard practices
Requirements:
Interest in sustainability and tree fruit production
Driver's license and means to commute to the orchard at Rock Springs
Willingness to learn and work in a dynamic outdoor environment
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
Penn State undergraduate student in good standing
