Maintenance Generalist II

Job Description:

Performs a variety of brick, cement and carpentry work.

Lays out work, builds and sets forms for walls, sidewalks, inlets, patios.

Performs general maintenance work and repairs of landscape features.

Builds wooden bridges and walkways. Performs P.M. Inspections.

Erects, removes and relocates fences of all types.

Coordinates people in absence of supervisor.

A criminal background and post offer health assessment will be conducted.

Employee must possess Class E Operators License.

NORMAL WORK SCHEDULE:

7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday

Position considered as Essential Personnel as defined by UF Policy

Advertised Salary:

$18.00 Hourly

Minimum Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent and two years of relevant experience.  Appropriate vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of the principles & techniques of the skilled building trades or mechanical repair work.

Skill in using tools & equipment in maintenance and repair work.

Ability to read blueprints and plans.

Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
