The Role
The Overnight Loss Prevention Supervisor will be responsible for monitoring video feeds and responding to security incidents during overnight hours. Based out of our Rochester, NY location, this role involves incident triage, communication with security personnel and law enforcement, and providing real-time updates to management.
The candidate in this role will report directly to the Head of Safety and Security at Nabis, but will have a dotted line to the statewide GMs that manage each of Nabis’ markets. Additionally, this role supports operations by processing video requests, conducting investigations in loss prevention, verifying discrepancies and error rates, and preparing safety reports for all our sites. The ideal person has experience monitoring video feeds and has worked in security and operations roles in the past.
Responsibilities
- Live Monitoring & Incident Response
- Continuously monitor live video feeds to identify, verify, and respond to suspicious activities, safety risks, or unauthorized access.
- Coordinate with on-site security, local law enforcement, and/or emergency responders when incidents occur, ensuring prompt and effective action.
- Maintain and audit detailed incident logs and review, noting time stamps, event descriptions, and actions taken for accurate reporting and analysis.
- Operations Video Requests & Investigation Support
- Process and fulfill operational video requests, reviewing footage to identify and document incidents such as mispicks, mispacks, and cash discrepancies.
- Investigate loss prevention cases by analyzing footage and reporting findings to the appropriate team members, assisting with incident resolution.
- Maintain a cataloged archive of video requests and reports to assist with ongoing investigations and provide evidence when necessary.
- Safety & Security Reporting
- Review the previous day’s routes and activities to compile and prepare daily Safety Recap Reports for the operations team, highlighting safety concerns or protocol deviations.
- Communicate and document findings on safety and security issues, providing actionable insights to prevent repeat incidents.
- Surveillance System Maintenance & Compliance
- Conduct regular checks of surveillance equipment to ensure all systems are functioning correctly, reporting any technical issues for maintenance.
- Adhere to company policies and industry regulations regarding surveillance and video monitoring, maintaining confidentiality of all recorded materials.
- Data Collection & Continuous Improvement
- Track incident data and trends, identifying patterns or repeat concerns to suggest proactive security measures.
- Participate in safety and security meetings, offering insights and recommendations for improving overnight security protocols.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in security or surveillance is a plus.
- Experience in security, video surveillance, or a related field, with familiarity in CCTV and video analytics software.
- Tech-savvy, with the ability to quickly learn and navigate video surveillance tools to identify, document, and report findings accurately.
