About the job
The Partner and Channel Marketing team is looking for a Campaign Events Specialist to work on multiple programs at once and handle many details simultaneously, including many campaigns plus live and virtual events; managing the marketing budget and tracking related invoices and payments; and overseeing the workflow of contract requests with legal, as well as ensuring deadlines are adhered to. We’re looking for someone resourceful, who isn’t afraid to ask questions, be hands-on, and juggle multiple projects at once. The right candidate works well on their own, but also thrives in a cross-department, team environment.
As a Campaign Events Specialist, Partner Marketing, you will:
- Manage the Partner Marketing global budget, reconcile against budget forecasts, create POs and track corresponding invoices for events and sponsorships.
- Engage regularly with SAS Finance team to understand budget requests and facilitate the financial process with marketers.
- Oversee the workflow of contract requests between marketers, SAS legal team and vendors.
- Monitor individual project expenses to keep within budget guidelines; work to minimize costs and maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
- Responsible for the operations and logistics of marketing activities, events and/or campaigns.
- Creates and executes plans for SAS and third-party live and virtual events, specifically in the areas of facility/onsite support, equipment, catering, giveaways, materials and shipping logistics.
- Analyzes data to make informed decisions for current and future events/activities/projects to validate success and make recommendations for improvement.
- Initiates and nurtures relationships with internal partners, stakeholders and third-party vendors to ensure successful event/activity/project completion.
- Utilizes and masters systems that enable marketing processes and campaign development.

Required qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Marketing, Sales, Finance or logistics related function in the technology industry.
- Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or related discipline.
- Equivalent combination of related education, training and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications.
- Considerable understanding of budget management, business-to-business sales/marketing processes, campaign operations, and logistics.
- MS Excel, but also experience with Word, PowerPoint, sales automation/CRM, and workflow/project management systems.

- Demonstrated understanding of marketing software tools, with a strong preference for experience with Cvent Essentials and Proske.
- Attention to detail and good organization skills are a must.
- Excellent customer service skills, ability to work in a fast- paced, customer-driven environment; ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
- Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with a wide variety of audiences.
