Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Manager of Supply Chain Training, Development, and Compliance Manager to lead the strategic development and execution of training initiatives and compliance to ensure operational excellence, regulatory and internal compliance within our supply chain operations. This leadership role is pivotal in enhancing workforce capabilities, fostering continuous improvement, maintaining strict adherence to defense industry standards and government regulations (e.g., FAR/DFARS, ITAR, AS9100, etc.), and enabling consistent supply chain performance across global operations.
Job Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy:
• Define and lead the strategic direction of supply chain training, development, and compliance programs aligned with corporate objectives and defense industry standards.
• Influence and drive results through leading a high-performing team focused on learning & development, regulatory training, and process compliance.
• Serve as the organizational authority on supply chain training and compliance matters.
Training and Team Development:
• Design, implement, and manage supply chain training programs to upskill employees across various Supply Chain functions.
• Establish a scalable training framework that includes onboarding, job-specific instruction, cross-training, and professional development pathways.
• Ensure consistent deployment of training content through LMS platforms and blended learning methods.
• Conduct needs assessments to identify skill gaps and develop targeted training plans.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to create engaging and effective training materials (instructor-led, e-learning, workshops, lunch and learns).
• Evaluate training effectiveness through metrics and feedback to drive continuous improvement.
• Onboard new supply chain employees with robust role-specific training.
Compliance and Risk Management:
• Ensure organizational compliance with aerospace and defense regulations including FAR/DFARS, ITAR, EAR, AS9100, ISO 9001, and customer-specific requirements.
• Collaborate with Legal, Contracts, Export Control, and Quality teams to monitor evolving regulations and implement necessary updates to training and processes.
• Lead internal audit readiness, documentation standards, and corrective action planning.
• Serve as the lead for EOIS on the cross-business compliance council.
• Conduct periodic internal audits and training to reinforce understanding of regulatory requirements.
• Maintain documentation and training records for audit-readiness.
Process Excellence & Continuous Improvement:
• Develop governance around supply chain policies, SOPs, and training requirements.
• Drive standardization of best practices across business units.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for training effectiveness and compliance health.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective action plans related to training deficiencies or compliance failures.
• Support supplier development and compliance training to ensure alignment with internal and regulatory standards.
Stakeholder Engagement:
• Work closely with Procurement, Quality, Engineering, HR, and Program Management teams to identify gaps and align training and compliance strategies with business objectives.
• Serve as a liaison during external audits, government inspections, and customer assessments.
• Establish processes and manage data to support material receipts forecasting monthly, quarterly and annually to meet business financial objectives while working with other cross functional teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 7+ years of experience in aerospace & defense supply chain operations, including training or compliance-related roles.
