About the position: As the Senior Software Developer will design, develop, and maintain full-stack software solutions for our healthcare applications. This role focuses on API and backend development, cloud infrastructure, and mentoring junior team members. You will work with our healthcare systems including Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) and support data integration initiatives. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, healthcare industry knowledge, and leadership skills to drive our software development efforts while ensuring solutions meet both operational and regulatory requirements.
What you'll do:

Full-Stack & API Development
- Design and develop scalable, secure backend solutions and RESTful APIs
- Architect systems that integrate with various healthcare applications and data sources
- Ensure software meets healthcare compliance standards including HIPAA
Cloud & Infrastructure Management
- Leverage Microsoft Azure to deploy, manage, and scale our cloud-based applications
- Optimize infrastructure for performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency
- Implement and maintain security best practices for healthcare applications
Application Development & Maintenance
- Maintain and enhance web applications built with React
- Support mobile application maintenance (built with Expo)
- Improve user experience through thoughtful application design and optimization
Healthcare Data Systems
- Work with Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) and healthcare data workflows
- Develop and optimize ETL processes for healthcare data integration
- Implement software solutions that meet healthcare industry requirements
Leadership & Collaboration
- Mentor junior developers and promote engineering best practices
- Participate in code reviews, architectural planning, and agile development cycles
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs
- Document technical designs and system architecture
AI/ML Integration
- Integrate AI/ML functionalities into existing applications
- Collaborate with data teams to implement predictive capabilities
- Evaluate and implement appropriate AI services and tools
You should have:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
Experience:
- Backend and API development
- Cloud architecture (preferably Azure)
- Web application development
- Proficiency in backend development technologies
- Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services
- Knowledge of React for web development
- Understanding of RESTful API design and microservices architecture
- Experience with data integration and ETL processes
- Familiarity with healthcare systems and standards (preferred)
- Understanding of security requirements for healthcare applications
This is an onsite position at our main office in Little Rock, Arkansas.
