Cost Accountant

Responsibilities

• Collecting and analyzing data about a company’s operational costs
• Setting standard costs of manufactured goods in ERP (SAP)
• Developing, updating and analyzing  standard costs and standard margin
• Carrying out cost-volume-profit (CVP) analysis
• Assist in establishing costs of business processes such as administration, labor, shipping, etc.
• Performing account reconciliations
• Preparing audit reports and presenting their findings to management
• Recommending changes to the company’s processes and policies to reduce cost and maximize profit
• Advising executives and upper management on appropriate costing based on financial data
• Assisting in the preparation of budget
• Performing monthly actual-budget variance analysis
• Assisting in the project accounting and working closely with the R&D Team
• Attending all quote and business case meetings, preparing all financial data for new business projects and working closely with the Sales Team
• Supporting other company accountant with invoicing and capital expenditure
• Budget control of Capital Expenditures
• Preparing weekly analysis on inventories

Education/Experience

• Effective communication skills, including active listening, speaking and writing
• Professional business communication skills, including emailing, financial reporting and other department documentation
• Advanced knowledge of mathematics and statistics
• Understanding and organizational accounting concepts
• Strong financial analysis skills
• In-depth knowledge of financial guidelines and regulations
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• SAP or any other major ERP system experience (preferred)
• Detail-oriented and self-motivated
