Overview:

Community Impact Printing is seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Cutter & Folder Operator to join our printing team. The Cutter & Folder Operator plays a crucial role in the final stages of our printing process, ensuring that printed materials are accurately folded and prepared for distribution. This position requires a keen eye for quality, expertise in operating cutting equipment, the ability to focus on quality control and the ability to operate and maintain folding equipment, and a commitment to meeting production deadlines. Responsibilities:

Operate Cutting & Folding Equipment:

Efficiently operate and monitor folding machines to process printed materials.

Ensure the accurate and precise folding of materials according to job specifications.

Effectively and safely operate cutting machines to trim printed materials to specifications.

Set up and adjust cutting equipment for each print job.


Quality Control:

Conduct thorough quality checks on folded materials to ensure they meet established standards.

Identify and address any issues or discrepancies in the folding process.

Address and correct any discrepancies in the cutting process.

Material Handling:

Organize and manage printed materials for efficient cutting processes.

Coordinate with other team members to ensure seamless workflow.


Machine Maintenance:

Perform routine maintenance on folding equipment to ensure optimal performance.

Troubleshoot and address minor malfunctions to minimize downtime.


Collaboration:

Work closely with other members of the printing team to coordinate folding activities.

Work closely with colleagues in the printing team to coordinate cutting activities.

Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to meet production goals.


Adherence to Safety Standards:

Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a secure working environment.

Report any safety concerns or incidents promptly.


Qualifications:

Previous experience operating cutting and folding equipment in a printing or similar environment is preferred, but also willing to train.

Strong attention to detail and quality control.

Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues.

Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.

Willingness to adhere to safety standards and protocols.

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality prints.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Flexibility to work in a fast-paced production environment


Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand for extended periods.

Lift and carry materials up to 50 pounds.

Manual dexterity for operating folding machinery.

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality prints.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Flexibility to work in a fast-paced production environment.
