Job Profile Summary
Leads Americas business toward strategic goals and objectives. Responsible for leading organizational and operational functions of the Americas business Unit to provide predictability, clear visibility, greater efficiency and increased quality on output. Ensures the development and execution of an appropriate business strategy, owns key operational processes, and works with departments both across the business unit and within other business units to ensure business goals are being met, including  key metrics of revenue, profit, cash and customer experience administration. Continuously keep updated on products, services and competitive industry dynamics

Key Responsibilities

  • Establishes goals and objectives of Americas operations ensuring alignment with the business unit and works cross functionally with other business leaders, and works on business issues that affect and improve Rackspace as a company, in addition to their team’s goals.
  • Works with departmental leaders directly to provide solutions on a variety of programs that are mission critical to the on-going success of the business.
  • Assesses structures and procedures making changes, where necessary, to ensure that objectives are met.
  • Drives resolution of strategic issues affecting current and future business.
  • Manages relationships with internal and external strategic partners. Accountable for core operational processes, such as capitalization, workforce planning, reporting, and budget management, and insures that weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual business activities occur on-schedule.
  • Creates, deploys, and insures continual operation of core business processes.
  • Works on problems of diverse scope where data requires complex analysis.

Knowledge

  • Advanced knowledge of P&L Management, business management, operations management, Customer Management, and Financial Management.
  • Advanced knowledge of transformation management, Strategic planning, Business process and tools management

Skills

  • Leads through subordinate managers and senior professional staff; contributes to the development of functional / operational long-term strategy and develops annual business plans to ensure alignment
  • Applies broad industry knowledge and commercial awareness to drive financial performance

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related field required.

Experience

  • 10 – 15 years of relevant work experience
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in direct people management

Travel

  • Occasional travel, less than 10%.

Physical Demands

  • General office environment.
  • Require long periods sitting and viewing a computer monitor.
