The Program Manager will support the DEA Aviation Division and will oversee and manage all aviation activities to support the mission. This role involves coordinating, planning, and executing aviation operations and initiatives, ensuring compliance with federal regulations, and enhancing the operational efficiency of the program. The Program Manager shall oversee the entire scope of the effort to include providing tactical, technical, and administrative aviation support.

THE CHALLENGE (primary responsibilities)

Responsibilities include:

 Program Management:

  • Oversee and manage the aviation programs

  • Develop and implement strategic plans for aviation operations.

  • Ensure alignment with customers overall mission and objectives.

  • Monitor program performance and implement improvements as needed.

 Operational Coordination:

  • Coordinate with the customer and external agencies to facilitate aviation operations.

  • Manage the scheduling and deployment of aviation resources.

  • Ensure timely and effective support.

 Compliance and Safety:

  • Ensure all aviation activities comply with federal regulations and customer policies.

  • Develop and enforce safety protocols and procedures.

  • Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments.

 Budget and Resource Management:

  • Develop and manage program budget.

  • Oversee flight operations, maintenance, logistics and training activities.

  • Ensure efficient allocation of resources to meet operational needs.

 Personnel Management:

  • Supervise and mentor aviation personnel.

  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide professional development opportunities.

  • Ensure staff adherence to customer policies and standards.

 Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Liaise with federal, state, and local agencies, as well as international partners.

  • Represent the customer at meetings, conferences, and events.

  • Communicate program status and outcomes to stakeholders.

WHAT SETS YOU APART (basic qualifications)

  • The Program Manager shall have a minimum of fifteen (15) years’ managerial experience, with a least ten (10) years as a manager of a business with gross sales of $5 million or better and/or a division of a corporation with gross sales of $5 million or better with control of one hundred plus (100+) people that work technical capacity.

  • A combination of military and civilian managerial experience is acceptable, with an emphasis on civilian corporate experience.

  • Demonstrated experience must be in a similar position within the last twelve (12) months preferably in an aviation environment.

  • A BSME/BS Degree in Business or Aviation-related field is required. Education/degree requirements may be substituted with training and job experience.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain Public Trust Security Clearance.

This position is full time located at the main on-site Alliance Facility.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $144,300.00 - $260,850.00
