We are looking for a driven, highly organized, and collaborative individual to join our People Operations team. As a People Operations Generalist, you will act as the initial point of contact for HR related questions and business processes through our various People systems, maintain accurate records of employee data in Workday, and contribute to projects that involve People Operations partners and other cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate has experience in executing across various HR areas and exhibits strong communication skills, critical thinking, and attention to detail.

As a member of the People Operations team, you’ll have the ability to help shape our processes and make a deep impact by influencing Aurora’s culture. In this role you’ll manage key programs for our employees while providing them regular support and ensuring a world-class experience. 

In this role, you will:

  • Support our employees day-to-day with Help Desk requests such as policy and process explanation, employment verifications, HR system requests, and more. You should be able to:
    • Confidently navigate and manage a high volume of incoming requests
    • Provide HR guidance to employees on a variety of topics including policy interpretation
    • Effectively prioritize tickets, ensuring requests are addressed in a timely manner
    • Demonstrate superior organizational skills with strong attention to detail to ensure data integrity. 
  • Facilitate bi-weekly Onboarding program for new hires.
  • Processes various transactions in our HRIS system (Workday) such as new hire/termination information, compensation, title, and department changes. Lead compliance and data integrity throughout the system.
  • Regularly audit HRIS data to ensure accuracy and integrity
  • Oversee employee offboarding process, including separation paperwork & exit surveys
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including completion of mandatory reporting such as EEO-1, ACA, and HCSO
  • Participate in the design and implementation of programs that build employee engagement and retention
  • Participate in additional ad-hoc projects as needed

Desired Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience within People Operations or related HR experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience.
  • Deep understanding of HR Systems (i.e. Workday) and Help Desk/Ticketing systems (i.e. JIRA)
  • Experience managing relationships with third party HR providers such as leave of absence, benefits, engagement tools, and relocation.  
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong people skills and an ability to connect and support employees at all levels. 
  • Able to accurately prioritize and meet deadlines within a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to interact with highly confidential data with sensitivity, professionalism, and integrity
  • Desire to think creatively to solve problems and identify opportunities for process improvement
  • Previous experience with leveraging data to inform and influence decisions.  
  • Outstanding customer service and problem-solving skills with keen awareness of when to escalate topics requiring additional support
  • Passion for Employee Experience and deep care for the employees of Aurora

The base salary range for this position is $79,000-$103,000 per year.  Aurora’s pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, the successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on factors including job-related skills, experience, qualifications, relevant education or training, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future. The successful candidate will also be eligible for an annual bonus, equity compensation,
