Senior Benefits Specialist
Purpose of role: The Sr. Benefits Specialist supports transactional functions within benefits and Leave of Absence administration in accordance with plan documents, insurance contracts, vendor agreements and applicable Federal, state and local regulations

Main Tasks and Responsibities:
- Responsible for first level employee inquiry through multiple channels regarding company-wide benefit programs relating to leaves of absence and employee benefit plans, assist employees with health, dental, life and other related benefit claims.
- Process form completion requests such as Medicare, National Medical Support Orders, Qualified Domestic Relations Orders.
- Assist with administration of company-wide benefit programs relating to leaves of absence and company’s employee benefit plans including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, health savings, flexible spending, COBRA, 401(k) and other benefits
- Prepare and set up meetings designed to help employees obtain information and understand company benefits. Coordinate distribution of required employee notices.
- Prepare and send employee correspondence with regard to collection of premium payments and eligibility for group health coverage.
- Vendor coordination and outreach, including benefit brokers, insurance carriers, record-keepers, trustees and other administrative and/or legislative agencies
- Calculates, verifies and processes benefit invoices and provides reports for allocation / billing charges.
