Summary: Diamondback is an independent oil and natural gas company headquartered in Midland, Texas focused on the acquisition, development, exploration, and exploitation of unconventional, onshore oil and natural gas reserves in the Permian Basin in West Texas. Diamondback's activities are primarily focused on the horizontal exploitation of multiple intervals within the Wolfcamp, Spraberry, Clearfork, Bone Spring, and Cline formations.
Internship Duties and Responsibilities:
- Under the general supervision of the Manager and Mentor, the Human Resources Intern is responsible for the completion of project work supporting recruiting, employee relations, compensation, training and development, HRIS and benefits.
- The key responsibilities of the Human Resources Intern include:
- Working on projects directly impacting the results achieved in the department assigned.
- Develop human resources skills under the supervision and guidance of an assigned and experienced mentor.
- At project completion, the intern will showcase their work and findings during a presentation in front of Diamondback upper management (CEO, COO, EVP, SVP, and VP).
- Throughout the internship, there will be opportunities to tour field operations so that an understanding of the Oil and Gas industry can be gained
- Additionally, the intern will have the opportunity to participate in Diamondback philanthropic endeavors that help the immediate community of Midland-Odessa.
- Finally, the intern will be able to learn from and work with some of the finest O&G professionals in the industry on a daily basis.

Required Qualifications:
- Pursuing a BBA or higher in Business Management, Human Resources, Psychology or Organizational Development
- Must have strong interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills
- Must be willing to work in Midland TX, for the duration of the internship
Preferred Qualifications:
- GPA of 3.20 or higher is preferred
- Extracurricular achievements or prior work experience is desirable
