Software Development Snr Manager

As a Senior Manager of Software Development in the Container Instances organization, you will build and lead a critical data-plane component used for running multiple OCI services. The charter of this team is to build, enhance and improve on container instances capabilities and deliver on aggressive roadmap commitments to support growing business needs. You will build a team which brings together low-level systems knowledge and data plane expertise and work with our most senior technical leaders to define, design and develop solutions to some of the most complex problems.

These are exciting times for our organization as we are building new capabilities and new architectures to become the default service runner Pod platform for all OCI services. This team will also deliver customer critical improvements to the container platform that can enable new customer adoption and aggressive business growth. We are looking for a manager that has deep dataplane and Linux systems experience and is able to lead the charge for core feature and performance optimization deliverables.

• Lead and coach engineering teams to deliver successful products and services.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry best practices, ensuring compliance and driving innovation within the organization.
• Enhancing cloud services and establishing operational excellence.
• Setting the technical direction for the team.
• Coaching, mentoring, and developing best talent.
• Establishing and stimulating software development standards and processes along with best practices for the team
• Defining new KPIs to inform decision making and prioritization.
• Sets Goals and Expectations for performance and works with employees to establish specific, measurable goals and commitments.

Basic Qualifications:

• 5+ years of management experience in enterprise software
• 7+ years of experience with software development with a focus on data plane/networking/security domains.
• Proficient at programming in C/C++, Go, Java.
• Bachelors in computer science and Engineering or related engineering fields
   

Preferred Qualifications:

• 7+ years of management experience 
• Prior development experience within Cloud Infrastructure or low level systems engineering
• Masters / PhD degree in Computer Science or related engineering fields

US: Hiring Range: from $84,700 to $251,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
