What you will do:

This SES position will provide quality services within Human Resources performing professional work managing and coordinating the following programs for a Department of 11,000+ employees: Attendance and Leave, Payroll, and KRONOS. 

How you will make an impact:

  • Reviews and processes requests for Leave Transfers, Leave Payouts, Key Service Dates corrections, Salary Overpayment and Refunds, KRONOS and/or People First timesheet to ensure that all employee rights and responsibilities are administered appropriately in accordance with all applicable laws, rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Conducts research and analysis regarding the aforementioned to provide customer service and assistance to supervisors and managers.
  • Documents all calls, requests, and any required action in the appropriate information system/tracking database.  Monitors/tracks ticketed items/actions in system(s) database(s) as required.
  • Drafts correspondence regarding Attendance and Leave and/or Payroll matters.
  • Assists in creating and updating Excel, Word, and People First systems, spreadsheets, logs, processes, and documents.
  • Assists with special projects with responsibility for providing input for developing solutions to human resource issues or concerns. Communicates the Departments concerns and expected results to project teams engaged in researching issues.     

Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of professional Human Resources experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year working for a State of Florida Human Resources Office;
  • At least 1 year working in the People First system; and
  • Knowledge of the Department of Management Services Personnel and Bureau of State Payroll rules, policies, and procedures as it pertains to Attendance and Leave and Payroll.
