Middle School Science Teacher

Description

Indian Rocks Christian School is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Middle School Science Teacher for the upcoming (2024-2025) school year.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the school's curriculum and state standards.
• Create a positive and engaging learning environment that encourages student participation and critical thinking.
• Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments, quizzes, and exams.
• Provide timely feedback to students and parents on student progress.
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to enhance the overall educational experience for students.
• Participate in school events and activities as required.

Requirements

• Must give testimony of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be able to substantiate that testimony by evidence of a daily Christian lifestyle
• Must be a spiritually mature, growing Christian who is active in their Christian life and be an active member of Indian Rocks Baptist Church
• Ability to effectively communicate Indian Rocks Christian School's mission, vision, and values to students, faculty, staff, and the broader community.
• Bachelor's degree in Science Education or related field
• Teaching certification from ACSI or the ability to obtain one
• Experience teaching upper-level science courses to high school students
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and staff
• Passion for teaching and a commitment to student success
