About the role

Summary

The Department of Pediatrics, Pulmonology Section is seeking a qualified candidate to provide quality patient care at Texas Children's Hospital. The Pediatric Pulmonology Section is one of the largest in the country and is seeking a qualified candidate that can join our specialty care, in a variety of areas including pediatric rare lung diseases.

 

Professional Responsibilities include:

  • Providing the highest standard of comprehensive clinical care to pediatric patients with pulmonary related problems, including rare lung disease and transplantation.
  • Teaching medical students, residents, fellows, and the community about pulmonary related problems, including rare lung diseases.
  • Scholarly activities will include research and publication in peer review journals.
  • Fostering public awareness of diseases and disorders of the pulmonary/respiratory system, rare lung diseases and their causes.
  • Promoting health and prevention of diseases of the pulmonary/respiratory system and rare lung diseases.

 

Educational Requirements

  • Minimum Education: M.D.
  • Minimum Job Experience: Minimum of five years of experience in Pediatric Pulmonology
  • Minimum Certification/Licenses/Registration: Board Certification in Pediatric Pulmonology
