IAG Tech’s vision is to increase shareholder value, accelerate business performance, delight customers, enable employees, and protect our business through the innovative and agile use of technology and data.</p><h3>Job Description</h3><p><strong>Purpose of the role</strong></p><p>• Contribute to the view of enterprise IT capabilities, through the strategic definition of enterprise-wide business and application architecture, ensuring it supports the strategic requirements of the business.<br/>
• Drive the enterprise/solution/data architecture thought leadership, effectively influencing stakeholders to help define the future state.<br/>
• Identify opportunities to work across IAG Tech to underpin the successful delivery of major architectural initiatives.<br/>
• Management of supplier relationships, ensuring any third-party deliverables meet strategic, technical and cost requirements.<br/>
• Identification and execution of continual improvement opportunities, ensuring the best outcomes for IAG and its operating companies, driving optimal solutions through the implementation of the architecture roadmap.<br/>
• Develop and maintain relationships within the Group and externally to identify and promote best practice and industry trends, translating these into strategy, policies, standards and best practice.</p><p><strong>Accountabilities</strong></p><p><br/>
Working in partnership with IAG Tech and the business to:<br/>
• Ensure all architecture activity in their area is aligned in terms of business vision and goals.<br/>
• Provide expertise to programme and project managers with the design, planning & governance of projects and business initiatives in relation to architecture.<br/>
• Collaborate with Architects in other areas as required and ensures any solution within their specific specialism fits with the business and technical architecture and strategic direction.<br/>
• Recognise opportunities for business or IT change, communicates them persuasively to appropriate stakeholders.<br/>
• Act as the bridge between Enterprise Architecture, Solution Architecture & application designers to ensure business, information and technology architecture is consistent and, working with developers ensures a practical implementation, is ‘joined up’ (i.e., not duplicated, re-used) across IAG Tech. Identify cross portfolio dependencies and issues and act to resolve them.<br/>
• Lead the production and ensure the quality, timely delivery and appropriateness of architecture artefacts.<br/>
• Develop and document the current and future state architecture Continuously monitor the documentation and update them as necessary to show changes, additions, and alterations. Make them actionable by balancing architecture recommendations with the optimum solution for IAG, creating transition roadmaps and influencing the portfolio to realise them by managing the overall design that underlies a projected solution, providing end to end solution and design details.<br/>
• Choose appropriate architectural viewpoints to develop based on practicality and fit for purpose.<br/>
• Support the business in understanding and interpreting the architecture and ensuring awareness and use of existing architecture artefacts. Ensure design is consistent with the architecture and drives resolution of architecture issues throughout the project lifecycle.<br/>
• Liaise closely with service partners and suppliers where third-party work or packages involve significant architectural decisions.<br/>
• Lead consultancy assignments involving specialists from various disciplines, and take responsibility for the quality, timely delivery and appropriateness of the team’s recommendations. Assignments may be across a wide range of topics, including some outside own area of expertise.<br/>
• Follow the agreed methods and use the appropriate tools for architecture and promote and support these.<br/>

• Deliver across a number of business or technical domains, the breadth and complexity of which will vary depending on experience.<br/>
This role may require travel and working from multiple sites/locations.
