Facilitates patient and family access to appropriate hospital and community resources. Posting Specifics 
  • Pay Rate: Based on Experience
  • Shift Details: Full-time (40 hrs/wk).
    Monday - Friday (9:00am - 5:30pm) no weekends or holidays
  • Department: Primary Children's Hospital Lehi - Miller Campus
  • Additional Details: This position is not a direct patient facing role

    This position will be located at the Primary Children's Hospital Lehi-Miller campus; however, onboarding/training for the position will occur onsite at Lehi-Miller and Salt Lake Campuses.
    This permanent position is at the Lehi-Miller Campus.

Minimum Qualifications 

  • Customer service experience   

  • Demonstrated work experience in a healthcare environment

  • Bachelor’s degree 

  • Bi-lingual preferred, Spanish speaking 

  • Experience working with parents or families of hospitalized children

Preferred Requirements

  • 3 yrs. of work experience in a healthcare environment



Essential Functions 

  • Coordinates with outpatient clinics and inpatient units as part of the Destination Services Team to offer families traveling from out of the area assistance with lodging, transportation, clothing, meal vouchers, and other hospital resources, as needed.  

  • Establishing and maintaining interpersonal relationships; developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintaining them over time. 

  • Maintains program materials including wayfinding information, community resources, travel/hotel information, and area attractions  

  • Communicating with people outside the organization, representing the organization to community partners, the public, government, and other external sources to maintain a positive community presence and lasting relationship. This information can be exchanged in person, in writing, or by telephone or e-mail. 

  • Leads the Family 2 Family Mentorship Program, which includes leading a steering committee of parent volunteers and staff. Additional duties include recruitment, screening, selection, training, and oversight of parent volunteers. Facilitates outreach efforts, hospital-wide presentations, and program reporting.
