This position will be located in Colorado Springs, CO, or Huntsville, AL.
Position Overview:
The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program integrates the Missile Defense System. It is a critical operational system that enables the U.S. president, secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels to systematically plan ballistic missile defense operations, collectively observe the battle development, and dynamically manage designated networked sensors and weapons systems to achieve global and regional mission objectives. C2BMC supports a layered missile defense capability that enables an optimized response to threats of all ranges in all phases of flight. It acts as a force multiplier that globally and regionally networks, integrates, and synchronizes autonomous sensor and weapon systems and operations to optimize performance. C2BMC is integral to all system ground and flight tests, which verify and exercise all current and future missile defense system capabilities.
This position is for a Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) Senior Modeler for the Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) System. The selected applicant will be the senior member of the Digital Engineering team. This is a Systems Engineering role in the development, integration, and support of large-scale software-intensive systems.
Essential Functions:
- Develop and maintain model quality, including identifying authoritative and reference data sources to support model requirements, and establishing appropriate workflows and processes to feed and sustain the models with that data at the appropriate cadence
- Support the development of models and assist the MBSE team lead with the development and implementation of team processes, task planning, and training/coaching junior team members in various aspects of MBSE and the tools themselves
- Maintain a strong technical relationship with government customers and partner organizations (internal and external) to help develop the full Digital Engineering lifecycle for the program
- Develop and deliver briefings, lead or represent the team in workshops and other collaboration venues
- Work under the supervision of the MBSE Lead and interface with other technical leads, product owners, C2BMC management, and government customers to ensure high-quality products are generated on time and within available resources
- Review technical or procedural products, provide content recommendations, and be actively involved in Agile development efforts, including iteration planning and status updates
Salary range Colorado Springs, CO: Min $124,900.00/Mid $156,100.00/Max $187,300.00
Salary range Huntsville, AL Min $131,100.00/Mid $169,900.00/Max $196,700.00
Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM field (Mathematics, Science, Physics, Engineering or related technical discipline) from an accredited university and 8 years of related experience or a Master’s degree in a related STEM discipline and 6 years of experience
- Applicants must have a current active in-scope DoD-issued Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start
- DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, CySA+, CND, etc.) is required to start
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% to support business needs
