Job description:

Senior Software (SW) Engineer to enhance C++ based application and build system of medical device applications in Linux OS. A talented and motivated C++ developer to join the team in developing innovative software solutions for the medical industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for removing dependencies, clean up the build system (source code), improve time to build of software applications that are critical to the operation of medical devices and healthcare systems.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Improve build system – reduction of build time for C++ based medical device applications in Linux OS
• Understand & troubleshoot the elements that cause build delay
• Clean up the source code (of application SW) to remove dependencies
• Improve the build time
• Working with the extended team (developers & verification team) to work together to enhance the application & functionality
• Participate in code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting to identify and address software (build, algorithm/ functionality/ dependency) issues.

Required Skills:
• (6-10) years of understanding and experience in the development of full life cycle of application software for medical devices.
• Proven experience in C++ in Linix with knowledge on object-oriented programming principles and design patterns.
• Expertise in build system improvement (C++ in Linux makefile) is mandatory.
• Proficiency in understanding dependencies, root cause analysis & troubleshooting for build related challenges (e.g. time to build, any performance aspects, dependencies)
• Hands on working experience in Linux is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with software development methodologies such as Agile or Scrum.
• Understanding of medical devices regulations and standards is desirable.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as a part of a team in fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication, judgment, decision-making, and critical thinking skills
• Bachelors or Masters in Computer Engineering/ Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or related fields.
