Summary
The Supervisor, Quality Health & Safety, will support DSV North America Solutions Group at the Phoenix – Portland Intel site warehouse locations regarding all applicable QHSE functions. Functions will entail the development, improvement and the implementation of the DSV North America Solutions QHSE program as outlined in the associated policies and procedures. The QHSE program encompasses a distinct Quality Management System (QMS) and a Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) program. Using these programs, the intent is to “Create a Quality & HSE Culture” at all site locations. The QHSE responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Duties and Responsibilities
QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
- Develop and maintain the site Quality Management System documentation such as procedures, work instructions, visuals.
- Ensure all policies and procedures are understood, trained and adhered to throughout the site location.
- Integrate and support all client related applicable QMS requirements as outlined in the scope of work.
- Coordinate all requirements related to the 5 Star Site Certification Program.
- Manage, coordinate all requirements related to the site Training Program. Entails conducting training, documenting training in the training database.
- Establish and maintain “quality standards” for all critical functions supporting the operation.
- Respond to client complaints, internal errors with regards to root cause and solution development with regards to the corrective and preventive action process.
- Serve as the primary contact for any external or internal audits; includes developing necessary resulting action plans.
- Compile and submit assigned daily, weekly and monthly reports to site and/or supported clients.
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators and metrics for quality related processes.
- Conduct and/or participate in all required site meetings. This includes the site Quality Improvement Teams. Could be combined with HSE Team.
- Perform all duties assigned by the site General Manager deemed necessary to achieve high quality results to achieve satisfaction.
- Develop procedures, work instructions, and visual aids to support the operation
- Support the implementation and maintenance of ISO certification
HSE PROGRAM
- Ensure the DSV North America Solutions HSE program is promoted and implemented throughout all Intel Phoenix site locations. This entails all HSE policies and procedures.
- Ensure all employees are properly trained on all applicable HSE requirements.
- Conduct MHE training as necessary to support operations.
- Conduct internal safety audits to ensure compliance with DSV standards, OSHA, all other related standards.
- Investigate and document all safety related incidences.
- Maintain HSE reporting as dictated by DSV and external reporting requirements.
- Conduct minimum monthly HSE meetings with the designated HSE team. Can be combined with the monthly QIT.
Educational background / Work experience
- A bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, health & safety or a related field is preferred for this position, but not required
- 5+ years of experience in a medium to large warehouse, preferred
- 5+ years of experience as a QHSE Supervisor or Manager, preferred
- Working knowledge of warehouse operations, quality, and HSE requirements
