Human Resources Generalist

We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist to join our growing team. The HR Generalist will report to, and provide back-up for, our HR & Compliance Manager and will work on site within our two Boulder, CO locations. This is a hands-on position that will work both autonomously and as part of the HR Team.

Responsibilities

• Acts as the first point of contact for employee relations, workers’ compensation and other employment issues at our Boulder locations and escalates to HR & Compliance Manager as appropriate
• Provides front-line support for day-to-day human resources functions and employee or manager requests
• Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute programs, policies, procedures, practices, and systems that ensure legal and effective operation of human resource functions
• Conducts exit interviews and ensures documentation is processed for terminating employees

• Works with the HR and management teams to identify and implement employee engagement and retention strategies which promote a positive company culture

• Assists in recruitment and hiring efforts including interviewing, onboarding, and orientation

• Assists with compliance requirements including development and implementation of affirmative action plans
• Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or related field, or equivalent experience plus PHR or SHRM-CP certificate
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in at least 2 HR functional areas
• Self-starter with the ability to self-teach, take initiative and find answers on their own
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
• Ability to handle and maintain the confidentiality of highly confidential information with professionalism, integrity, and good judgement
• Minimum of 1 year of Experience working with ADP WorforceNow
• Tech-savvy with an ability to quickly learn new systems and analyze and interpret data
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to communicate at all organizational levels
• Ability and desire to remain current on employment best practices, trends, and Colorado state employment laws
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office products (especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Experience working with FMLA and state paid Family Leave preferred
• Familiarity with Office of Federal Contract Compliance Program guidelines preferred

The pay range for this position is $84,000 - $107,000 / year. SciTec considers several factors when extending an offer of employment, including but not limited to the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.
