Assistant Plant Manager

Canvus is searching for an Assistant Plant Manager to lead the manufacturing of products in our 110,000sq.ft. facility in Avon, OH.

You will be responsible for planning, designing, directing operations in the manufacturing of our products. Your driving goal will be producing the highest quality products in the most efficient manner.

• Leading product-centric operations. Help create and implement strategic improvements for production, quality, and efficiencies within the manufacturing process of our products.
• Collaborate with the product design team to solution manufacturing principles, design standards, and construction methods on current and future products.
• Drive production through people. Our operation is a low-equipment plant that relies heavily on our craftsmen talent.
• Provide leadership to ensure effective utilization of personnel, tools, and equipment
• Collaborate with leaders in other departments in the implementation of improvements
• Investigate and implement innovative manufacturing processes to reduce costs and improve product quality
• Apply lean manufacturing principles in designing, specifying, and validating world-class manufacturing processes and product designs that achieve organizational goals
• Plan and coordinate manufacturing operations for product manufacturing teams
• Help ensure that production line schedules are in accordance with facility capabilities, customer requirements, and financial planning
• Help create documentation protocols and ensure that all records of operations are properly maintained and reviewed

Requirements

• Extraordinary leadership.
• Five or more years of experience in plant operations or engineering
• Proven skills in leadership and supervision
• Demonstrated understanding of lean manufacturing principles
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in operations management, business, engineering, or related field
