Job Overview
PEMCCO is seeking a licensed Journeyman Electrician to support the installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of electrical systems used in roadway systems and infrastructure operations.
This is not just a basic installation role. You will work as a hands-on Electrical Technician and Infrastructure Electrician supporting electrical distribution, high-voltage distribution, control systems, and field-based equipment in active environments where strong troubleshooting skills, electrical diagnostics, and safe work practices are essential.
If you are experienced with 480V 3-phase systems, preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, field service, and reading electrical schematics and wiring diagrams, this is an opportunity to do meaningful work with real-world impact.
What You’ll Do
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in accordance with NEC standards
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, and electrical plans
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues across systems, components, field equipment, and control systems
- Perform preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance on electrical distribution systems and high-voltage distribution equipment
- Work with systems up to and including 480V three-phase power
- Inspect electrical systems, identify deficiencies, and recommend corrective actions
- Use electrical testing equipment and diagnostic instruments to isolate and repair malfunctions
- Plan layout and wiring for new installations and system modifications
- Support the maintenance of roadway systems, infrastructure, and field-based electrical and control systems
- Perform field service work in active outdoor and industrial environments
- Operate bucket trucks and work at heights when required
- Respond to electrical issues in active outdoor and infrastructure environments
What You Bring
Required Qualifications
- Active Journeyman Electrician license
- At least 2+ years of experience troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems in the field
- Experience working with 480V 3-phase electrical systems
- Strong ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and plans
- Ability to safely use electrical tools, testing equipment, and diagnostic instruments
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability or willingness to obtain a CDL
Preferred Experience
- Experience in roadway, traffic, transportation, or infrastructure electrical systems
- Experience working outdoors or in industrial environments
- Experience supporting field equipment, control systems, electrical distribution systems, or high-voltage distribution equipment
- Background as an Electrical Technician, Industrial Electrician, or field service electrician is a plus
- Comfort working in physically active roles that require climbing, lifting, and extended standing
