The Senior Training and Project Specialist manages their own activities related to their area of expertise. They may also schedule and oversee (but not formally evaluate) the work of others related to their scope of work including projects and training. This role will serve as a key point of contact to ensure compliance with and demonstrate knowledge of site level policies and drive specific projects within manufacturing operations.
Primary responsibilities for role:
- Independently leads moderately complex projects in support of the campus needs.
- Cross-functional supervision with others as it relates to quality compliance training and special projects.
- Represents Grifols site interests on special projects related to area of expertise.
- Represents Grifols site in front of all notified bodies or quality inspectors to ensure training compliance.
- Perform day to day management of the Grifols Training Platform (GTP) for all users at the GDS San Diego sites including development and maintenance.
- Perform as SME of GTP tool (oversee/manage to ensure compliance) training of GTP - SAP back office and Campus.
- Execute the implementation actions for GTP enhancements and required deployments (i.e. UAT, training to key users). Troubleshoots when an incident with the system occurs
- Develop appropriate corrective / preventative actions to training findings and implement across the business unit in a harmonized and timely fashion.
- Contribute to the development and revision of training manuals, SOPs, and other documents and training materials.
- Interacts with other functional groups including Manufacturing, QC and QA to define harmonized cross-functional cGxP Training standards, processes and responsibilities aligned with company objectives, training needs and established regulations.
- Maintains all records under cGMP compliance: catalog, scheduling, data entry into the Grifols Training Platform (GTP), and training records.
Additional responsibilities:
- Organizes the campus agenda fully aligned with the DxBU requirements: Dx hour, townhalls, management monthly and quarterly meetings.
- Creates the sitewide newsletter which includes all the info related with the campus updates with scheduling activities for visitors and sitewide tours.
- Support New Employee Orientation training and sets-up everything needed for a successful onboarding.
- Supports additional tasks as a assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- High organizational skills, including a multi-tasking abilities.
- Must have strong written and oral communication skills with experience working in cross-cultural settings.
- Experience in the development and implementation of technical training programs including demonstrated knowledge of Adult Learning Theories.
- Experience interacting with Health Authorities or other external auditors.
- Detailed-oriented, problem-solver, and ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Advanced computer skills with SAP and Microsoft Office
Education & Experience
- Educational BA or BS degrees in relevant field
- 5-8 years related quality experience or a master’s degree with 3-6 years of experience.
Equivalency
Depending on the area of assignment, directly related experience or a combination of directly related education and experience and/or competencies may be considered in place of the stated requirements. Example: If a job level requires a bachelor’s degree plus 4 years of experience, an equivalency could include 8 years of experience, an associate degree with 6 years of experience, or a Master’s degree with 2 years of experience.
Pay Scale
The estimated pay scale for the Senior Training and Project Specialist based in San Diego, CA is $ 90,900 - $ 136,300 per year. Additionally, the position is eligible to participate in up to 8% of the company bonus pool.
