Senior Full Stack Software Engineer

Within the department Software Quality & Integration (SQI) we are looking for a Senior Software Engineer that exhumes technical leadership and is the beacon of engineering excellence  that will inspire and motivate his team members to rise to the same level!

Software Quality & Integration (SQI) is responsible for maintaining the test infrastructure used by software projects but also control the testing and integration of the various software deliveries / software releases.

As Senior Software Engineer you will be part of the Test Infrastructure team which is responsible to develop, maintain and improve CI/CD (Continuous Integration / Continuous Development) and test automation environment of SQI and all other D&E Software departments. Attention: We aren’t looking for Tester!!!

Job Responsibilities

• You will be working on a software tool called TBM (TestBench Manager) that combine Commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) and ASML-tailored solutions to ensure optimal utilization and streamlined management of testbenches.
• You will be in charge of realizing the Test Infrastructure team TBM roadmap for EUV Source and Scanner.
• Targeting commonality in the solutions delivered for different domains (EUV Source and Scanner).
• Setting the standard for engineering excellence and guiding your fellow team members closer to that same level of excellence.
• Delivering well-tested high quality solutions that minimize your time spent on operational responsibilities.
• Challenging our organization, to maintain a healthy balance between state-of-the-art technology, security, performance, and stability. 

On a day-to-day basis, you will be:

• Performing and reporting on improvement and/or new feature spike studies to support decision making processes
• Coaching junior and newly joined engineers
• Supporting alignment with stakeholders within and outside SQI Test Infrastructure team
• Designing and implementing the solutions chosen for production
• Designing, implementing and executing automated test procedures along with the solutions to systematically test the solutions (test-driven approach)
• Knowledge sharing and support towards software community via sprint demo meetings or other channels

Education and experience

Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in Computer Science, Informatics, Embedded Systems, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field.

To be successful in this role. You have:

Several years (5+) of experience as a Software Engineer or DevOps engineer (with previous software engineering experience) with deep knowledge in software engineering best practices. Well versed in utilizing DevOps best practices specifically Test Automation strategy and CI/CD setup. Preferably experience with implementing and maintaining highly scalable systems. Strong Python development skills (background in C/C++ is a plus).

Furthermore, you have solid experience with the following technologies:

Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Ansible), Version control systems (Git, GitLab, Bitbucket), GitHub actions (CI/CD), Database maintenance and management (SQL MySQL), Kubernetes platform, Helm, Django and Linux (especially RHEL) and similar operating systems.

As a bonus, you have experience in:

Software development within ASML or similar environments is a plus, Python Celery, RabbitMQ, Redis and Typescript development
