As a Plant Operations Manager in the Kansas City, KS Plant, you’ll help lead a state-of-the art manufacturing facility. In this role you will be a key decision maker ensuring our processes and teams are running efficiently. You’ll work with cross functional teams in operations, maintenance, safety, quality, and others to build capabilities across the site.
A Taste of What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading By Example – Serve as a member of the plant management leadership team, holding the Plant Operations department accountable for adherence to plant direction. You’ll show your commitment to positive results as you establish and ensure achievement of all unit Key Performance Indicators. As a meticulous manager and high achiever, you’ll ensure adherence to and continuous improvement for all area MCRS (multi-component reactions) elements.
- Engaging in Business Planning – Participate in the business planning and budgeting process by developing short and long-term cost containment and reduction strategies. You’ll oversee the execution of projects within your assigned area by monitoring project plans and status to ensure successful completion. We’ll look to you to ensure raw materials are converted into finished goods for your assigned areas and shifts.
- Focusing on Continuous Improvement – Deploy and sustain lean training to help staff meet the demands and challenges of our thriving business. With your help, the plant will comply with all employee safety, food safety and sanitation policies and regulations. As you manage and develop a team, you’ll demonstrate your dedication to making our company and its people even more effective.
We’re Looking for Someone With
- Demonstrated operations and managerial experience in a manufacturing setting
- Your expertise of applying lean principles and engaging others will set us up for success
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate others
- Strong problem solving and decision-making skills with the proven ability to manage complex situations
- Proficiency with computers, including the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
- High school diploma or GED
