About the role

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for the ideation, creation, development, implementation, maintenance, architecture, support and custody of the company’s enterprise reporting platform, supplemental but critical custom operating applications and B2C/D web exchanges to provide exceptional customer service to both our external and internal customers.   Partners with the business, operations and technology leaders to maximize application functionality, capability, availability and resiliency while accelerating and improving the development and integration processes to ensure timely, quality deliverables.   Drives a continuous improvement culture focused on constantly improving services while reducing costs.  Interviews, recommends, retains, organizes, develops, manages, recognizes, and rewards team members, developing a highly motivated, engaged and effective team capable of achieving tactical and strategic business objectives within company policies and procedures

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop productive relationships with business, operations and technology leaders across the organization to influence how applications, reporting platform and B2C/D web exchanges can enable new sources of value.   Partner with and leverage these relationships to understand company’s business and operational goals and objectives and role applications can play in achieving those goals and objectives
  • Work with IT leadership and subordinates to translate:
    • company goals and objectives into application/reporting/exchanges-specific goals and objectives
    • application specific goals and objectives into scoped and approved application projects, and 
    • application projects into successfully executed deliverables
  • Identify new technologies and determine their applicability to the organization’s long-term needs and strategic objectives and the tools and technologies leveraged and providing existing reporting, custom application, and B2C/D web exchanges (such as RPA, AI, etc.)  
  • Works closely with infrastructure leadership to optimize the application/reporting/exchanges technical stack, leveraging all available physical redundancies and software resiliencies to create a highly available, well performing, scalable, self-maintaining application with appropriate alerting, logging and auditing to support forensic and general analysis.
  • Ensure enterprise reporting needs are backed up with a data warehouse structure which supports complex reporting while meeting performance requirements
  • Ensure data is accurate, clean, and meets the customer need, while ensuring compliance with regarding security and privacy of sensitive data
  • Direct staff in the evaluation of new and/or changing reporting and integration requirements and opportunities, analyzing alternatives, and oversees the development of the changes
  • Ensure the delivery of exceptional customer service and tangible outputs. Rely on industry standards, best practices, and qualitative & quantitative data to improve support and/or refine operations methodologies and processes
  • Works closely with technology leadership to fully support the SDLC, ensuring that the development lifecycle is shortened through iterative RAD activities to improve quality of work products.   Establishes design criteria that increases the quality of the technical aspects of new software artifacts.   Develops processes and tools to ensure appropriate source code controls are in place and followed
  • Provide effective leadership, development, coaching and guidance to global and cross-functional teams, which includes day-to-day support, and delegating responsibilities as appropriate.    Review and report project performance regularly to management and other stakeholders. 
  • Follows all policies and procedures, controls, technical standards, change management, methods, and priorities necessary to manage changes consistently and effectively to the financial and SOC1 audited systems
  • Ensure that the organization's applications are effectively secured and that risks are mitigated to ensure compliance with legal and corporate privacy and confidentiality rules 
  • Interviews, recommends, retains, organizes, develops, manages, recognizes, and rewards team members, developing a highly motivated, engaged and effective team capable of achieving tactical and strategic business objectives within company policies and procedures
  • Partner with human resources (HR) and support its human capital and organizational effectiveness programs and initiatives. Operate in alignment with HR’s strategies 
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned, including overnight and international travel
