Description
Summary:
Provides centralized referral and pre-cert duties per insurance protocols. Maintains open communication to all health centers in assuring referral and pre-cert needs are being met. Provides open communication to all service members and participating Primary Care Providers per MDI Hospital contracts. Remote for the following states only: Maine, Florida, Tennessee, and South Carolina.

Requirements
Education, Training or Certifications Required:
Minimum High School diploma.
Experience Required:
- 3-5 years medical office experience.
- Strong computer skills required.
Special Requirements:
- Emotional maturity and good people skills required.
- Ability to work with distressed or anxious patients or family members required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing/variety of different employees.
- Team focused, ability to work and provide support to the team.
Cognitive Requirements:
- Ability to take in, process and apply clinical information in a wide variety of patient care situations.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to listen effectively to patients and employees and route them to appropriate personnel.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to sit/stand/walk for up to eight hours per day.
- Able to perform under stress.
- May involve extended sitting.
- Use of VDT, Hand/eye coordination (typing)
