Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Construction Manager to function in representation of public utility for a Transmission & Distribution project related to the upgrades of the Electric Grid across the State of New York.  

This role will be based out of New York and will be interfacing with the utility’s Construction Management team on a daily basis.

Roles and Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Assuring a safe work environment in alignment with AECOM and client objectives and standards
  • Oversight, leadership and/or daily interaction with a Construction Advisory team including, but not limited to:
  • Project Management
  • Procurement and Material Management
  • Project Controls
  • Information Management
  • Project leadership
  • Day to day interaction and coordination with installation contractors
  • Day to day interaction with client personnel
  • Assisting in the development and/or producing daily, weekly and monthly reports
  • Coordination with external stakeholders
  • Interface with local operations staff
  • Other duties as required

 

DCS—Energy

Qualifications

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • BA/BS degree and/or 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of education and/or experience
  • Experience must include Construction and Project Management experience in an active powerplant and auxiliary facility setting
  • Valid US driver's license

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of relevant experience
  • Power Plant / Transmission / Substation experience as a Construction Manager
  • Industry experience as Quality Assurance and/or Quality Control Manager
  • Industry quality certifications and training
  • Planning and Scheduling experience
  • Experience working with New York Utilities or utilities in the East Region of the USA
