Job Description

As a Security Officer - Telecom Patrol Driver in Tacoma, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Professional with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated areas within a dynamic tech and media environment, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents. You will conduct regular patrols, engage with people on site, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. This is a driving position, so a valid driver's license is required. What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and guests by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, responding to emergencies.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, following company and site guidelines.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the premises and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
• Observe, report, and document any unusual occurrences or security-related incidents in accordance with Allied Universal protocols.
• Assist in controlling access to designated areas, verifying identification, and monitoring for unauthorized entry.
• Support the maintenance of an orderly environment for employees, visitors, and property at the location.
• Communicate professionally and promptly with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal team members regarding security-related matters.
• Remain alert and attentive while on patrol to help to deter potential disruptions or hazards in the tech, media, and telecom environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
