Inova Fairfax Medical Campus is seeking a Clin Tech 2 to join the Cardiac Telemetry Unit team! This role is full-time working three - 12 hour shifts per week rotating between days & nights. Schedules are made 6 weeks in advance. 

Requirements for consideration:

• Associate Degree (or RN, MD, RHIA, RHIT)
• 5 years of professional inpatient acute care, inpatient clinical, and/or coding experience required. Includes ICU, ER, Peds/NICU, case management/UR, quality or similar level of advanced care/coding.
• Two years of CDI experience in an acute inpatient healthcare setting.
• CDI certification (CCDS or CDIP).
• RN, RHIT, or foreign medical school licensure documentation equivalent to educational background required.

Job Responsibilities included but not limited to:

• Provides direct care to patients whose care requirements are routine and standardized, with predictable outcomes, under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse.
• Effectively communicates with health team members, patients and families; Communicates effectively and works cooperatively with others.
• Assists unit leadership with overseeing other unit Clinical Technician education records.
• Has respect for and an understanding of other clinical disciplines.
• Maintains competencies and seeks opportunities to develop professionally.
• Identifies own learning needs based on self-evaluation and the progress made from the previous year's goals.
• Assumes responsibility for self-development in lifelong learning and seeks opportunities to further increase practice knowledge.
• May perform additional duties as assigned.
