Cloud platform Product Owner:
Our cloud solutions are enablers of the digital transformation for business and our normal life. One of the enabling technologies for the digital transformation is cloud computing, this will enable a completely other way of working for the business.
To support this, NXP-IT formed a Cloud Center of Excellence (Cloud CoE) reporting directly into the CIO. The Cloud CoE’s goal is to enable accelerated and sustainable adoption of cloud across the enterprise (both business and IT) - maximizing the ability to realize its benefits while reducing risk. This team is recognized as the industry leading Cloud Center of Excellence for the high-tech industry.
The Cloud CoE is responsible for defining Strategy and policy for cloud computing, driving, and implementing cloud services and platforms, running proof of concepts, piloting emerging cloud technologies (e.g. GenAI, Machine Learning) and supporting business-initiatives in adapting cloud technologies (including organizational change).
As a Product Owner for the Cloud platform, you own the cloud platform and industrialize standard cloud products which can be used by cloud consumers. You will play a strategic role in roadmap discussions and the PI-plannings. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of cloud computing and technology systems, as well as experience in the role of product-owner . You should have a positive attitude and excellent communication skills to effectively share your knowledge.
Your Responsibilities
- As a Product Owner:
- Break down initiatives/features/epics into stories with Epic owner.
- Own PI and Iteration planning from content and priority perspective.
- Refine the stories (high level T-shirt sizing is included) for team members so that these can be picked up for execution them.
- Work closely with Product Manager, Architects, RTE and Scrum Master to ensure PI objectives are met, raise red flag as and when risks are foreseen.
- Owning a cloud platform
- Implement and maintain a fully automated Cloud platform, to enable a smooth and secure way for business and IT teams to develop and deploy Cloud based services.
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and underlying tooling for Cloud based IT services.
- Industrialize (design and automate) standard cloud products and services on top of the cloud platform in line with security and compliance requirements.
- Offer consultancy, and guidance in migrating applications to the cloud or designing new applications in the cloud.
- Interaction with other teams by working closely with other IT teams, IT security and NXP business teams)
- Keeping abreast of the latest Cloud Architecture (Delivery & Deployment) and technologies
- Respond to technical issues in a professional and timely manner.
- Be an evangelist of Cloud computing and its agile way of working to the rest of NXP.
- Actively participate in communities / forums / guilds on Cloud computing (both external and internal to NXP)
Our team
- The Cloud CoE is a team of dedicated and passionate IT professionals. The team is around 30 people which are in Eindhoven the Netherlands and in Bangalore, India
- The Cloud CoE consists of a Cloud platform team including enabling role and Cloud Data platform team including enabling role.
Your Profile
We are looking for a Cloud Platform Product Owner with following characteristics:
- Masters or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / Software Engineering with 12+ years of experience in architecting, designing, executing and supporting IT Cloud Solutions
- Proven experience in software engineering techniques, cloud-native architecture and supporting tooling
- Strong working experience on cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP or similar) and microservice-architecture oriented solutions is a definite plus
- Up to date and proven experience with CI/CD pipelines and supportive tooling
- Experience on IaaS and PaaS services.
- Up-to-date knowledge of cybersecurity threats, current best practices and latest software
- Familiar with GRC topics
- Understands SAFe and familiar with ITIL framework/processes
- Knowledge of the DevSecOps culture and principles
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Organized, efficient, and results-driven
- You are a technical, creative, analytical, open-minded and transparent on own work
- Eager to learn and not afraid to take initiative. You know how to learn from failure
- You have great English communication skills, both verbally as in writing
