Role Summary
Raytheon is seeking a procurement professional to join the Land & Air Defense Systems (LADS) procurement team. This position will be within the Product Support product line. The selected individual will be responsible for procurement efforts in support of multiple programs within the Product Support business area.
What You Will Do:
- Perform procurement and supplier management activities in support of U.S. Government and Commercial contracts.
- Place purchase orders of medium complexity and medium volume. Support on less and more complex work will be required at times as well.
- Utilize source selection techniques, compile, and analyze data to perform price analyses, conduct negotiations (including terms and conditions), and identify supplier risks, with guidance as needed.
- Ensure that requirements (prime contract, quality, terms and conditions) are properly communicated to suppliers and manage supplier performance to cost, schedule, and quality requirements.
- Work cross functionally with engineering, quality, and program management along with other key functional groups to ensure program needs are met by resolving obstacles that require ingenuity, creativity, and innovation.
- Monitor procurement reports and help drive performance to meet company metric targets.
- Communicate clearly and be proactive in a fast-paced environment. Be flexible, innovative, work with speed and agility yet be thorough and compliant with government and Raytheon regulations, while successfully driving tasks to completion.
- Assist in the training of peer procurement professionals as needed.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field..
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in supply chain.
- Experience participating in formal negotiations (price, schedule, and supplier exceptions to contractual requirements).
- Experience communicating both verbally and in writing with internal customers and suppliers
- Experience with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Experience performing and comprehending price analyses, sole selection/justification, and analysis of supplier quotation.
- Ability to travel domestically/internationally, if required.
- DoD procurement experience and knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFARS).
- Experience with SAP and Ariba.
- Six sigma and productivity improvement experience.
- Level 4 acquisition certification
- Working knowledge of Raytheon systems, processes, and procedures
