SUMMARY
Our Retail department is looking to fill intern positions for the 2026 summer season. This internship role is expected to learn the ins and outs of retail operations, as well as sit in on vendor/buyer meetings. In addition to learning how to buy and merchandise, interns will be expected to provide a high level of guest service to guests of all retail outlets. Interns are also responsible for the maintenance of shops to include cleanliness, receiving, stocking, and general maintenance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Ensure customer satisfaction is priority by assisting with any guest needs and providing suggestions to help close the sale.
• Responsible for being knowledgeable of merchandise to include pricing, quality, functionality, and features
• Will receive incoming merchandise and ensure it accuracy
• Must stock the outlet according to established procedures and at the direction of Retail Manager
• Work with Retail manager 2 days a week on the buying process /merchandising process
• Complete all assignments requested by Retail Manager and maintain open line of communication as well as good rapport with co-workers
• Perform opening and closing procedures of outlet
• Attend all meetings and complete all online training sessions
• Must follow proper grooming and dress standards set forth by the Employee Handbook
• Must understand and abide by environmental practices of the resort
• Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
• Relevant experience or experience with customer service
• MUST BE currently enrolled at a University, College, or Community College and receive college credit for the Internship
ADDITIONAL INTERNSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES
• Attend bi-weekly intern meetings and committee meetings
• Complete internship projects
• Work a flexible schedule, 30-40+ hours per week
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
• Must have excellent customer service and communication skills
• Must be highly motivated with a positive attitude and have the ability to multi-task
• Applicant must be able to work well as an individual and as a member of a team with a goal of providing outstanding guest service
• Basic computer skills necessary

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must have the ability to stand for prolonged periods of time up to 8-10 hours a day. Constant stooping, bending and carrying of items that sometimes exceed 30 pounds however limited to 50Ibs.
TYPICAL MENTAL DEMANDS
• Requires the ability to interact with people beyond giving and receiving instructions
• Must be adaptable to performing under stress when confronted with an emergency
• Must be able to effectively handle stressful and compromising situations while remaining focused and professional
WORKING CONDITIONS
• Must be able to work flexible hours including days, evenings, weekends and holidays. Request time off are only granted if business allows
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
COMMENTS
Native American Preference will apply. Must be able to pass a background investigation and a drug test as a condition of employment. Must be able to work flexible hours and take on additional responsibilities when asked. Must adhere to company policies regarding strict confidentiality.
