Program Assistant for Student Work Programs

LC State invites applications for the position of Program Assistant for Student Work Programs.

Salary and rank based on experience and qualifications: $46,050 - $48,000

Degree Required: Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited college or university

Required Qualifications:

1. Excellent interpersonal, organization, time management, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
2. Experience working with databases, organizing data, and running technical reports
3. Experience preparing professional documents and making public presentations
4. Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Work experience in higher education
2. Experience using Ellucian's Colleague
3. Flexibility to work in an open office environment and actively collaborate with other staff members

Responsibilities:

1. Manage the Work Scholar and AmeriCorps programs,
2. Manage the Federal, State, and JOB Work-study programs,
3. Develop and present training materials for aid-based student work programs,
4. Work with internal and external employer partners and supervisors to support student workers,
5. Assist students and families with general guidance on financial aid and scholarship processes, including completion of the FAFSA, scholarship, and other financial forms or documents,
6. Make presentations about financial aid, scholarship, and aid-based work programs to prospective students, current students, and high school counselors,
7. Partner with other office staff on projects and assignments,
8. Serve on campus committees as needed, and
9. Other duties as assigned.
