Responsible for the procurement process. Creates and approves transactions in the financial system including purchase orders, change orders, blanket orders, check requests, budget adjustments, ID’s, and journals. May have responsibility for department supply room operations and inventory control.Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Creates or approves transactions in our financial system including purchase orders, change orders, blanket orders, check requests, budget adjustments, ID’s and journals.
- Communicates and coordinates with customers, project stakeholders and departments and relays/resolves issues as they arise.
- Monitors the account balances for funds and communicate account balances with managers as needed.
- Organizes management contract services such as cell phone, beepers, uniforms trash, snow removal etc. These responsibilities include but are not limited to creating on-line transactions associated with the contract, coordinating regarding policies and procedures for contract and serving as the central point person coordinating with vendor.
- Solicits material suppliers, vendors and procurement process.
- Coordinates and processes travel expense reimbursements.
- Serves as department liaison regarding procurement processes and policies.
- Coordinates storing furniture/ equipment and arranges and schedules the disposal through buy-out or donation.
- Performs other duties and participate on project teams as assigned.

- Experience processing financial transactions in a fund accounting in a professional environment is preferred.
- Ability to anticipate issues.
- Knowledgeable of project processes such as creating charters, project scope and objectives and overall project delivery process.
- Knowledgeable in creating and facilitating user training for university systems.
