Position Title: Maintenance Helper

Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor

Supervises: N/A

Summary:

Working under general supervision, this position is a hands-on worker that keeps our internal building, exterior grounds, and other production equipment in good order. This position commonly assists the Maintenance Technician in projects and maintenance requirements.

 JOB DUTIES - Include but are not limited to the following:

• Performing maintenance activities such as painting, 6S, or cleaning up debris from outside the building
• Performing light repair work such as changing light bulbs and repairing small items such as leaky faucets or other related items
• Cleaning and maintaining building exteriors and organizing the storage building
• Collecting and disposing of garbage and recyclable materials from offices and other work areas
• Installing production equipment 
• Inspecting small equipment for signs of wear and tear or damage and reporting issues to supervisors
• Maintaining buildings by performing tasks such as scrubbing ESD floors
• Completing other miscellaneous tasks as assigned by supervisors
• Keep inventory of maintenance and cleaning supplies and equipment, and report needs to supervisor
• Comply with all safety and health regulations
• Performing basic plumbing tasks, which includes unclogging drains as well as fixing leaking faucets and toilets
• Promptly responding to requests for emergency repairs and clean-ups
• Ensuring that all maintenance equipment is in good working order
• Other tasks will be assigned based on operational needs

Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or GED
• 2+ years of experience
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical systems is a plus
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time; ability to bend, kneel, stoop, and lift
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating, and maintenance instructions
• Ability to work in a team and follow instructions from supervisors
• May be required to work outside of normal work hours

• Basic hand tools
• Electric power tools
• PPE as required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Corrected vision to 20/20.
• Ability to work standing.
• Ability to repetitively lift 40 lbs.
