Overview
Summary/Objective
The Customer Advocate, Payment Processing I is responsible for processing payments into ACA and from ACA as appropriate with a high focus on accuracy. Key tasks include but are not limited to: processing payments, charge off/reversal of charge off, overpayments/refunds, fees, and investigation/resolution of issues in compliance with the applicable policies and procedures. This role operates fully onsite in our Spartanburg, SC office.

- Completes work with a high level of quality and timeliness.
- Displays partnership and provides an excellent customer experience to internal and external customers.
- Communication, written and verbal, is professional and courteous.
- Provides process improvement recommendations, as applicable.
- Acts as a backup for other team members as appropriate.
- Resolves issues with low/medium complexity with little/no supervision.
- Completes and passes all company required training courses by assigned due date(s).
- Other tasks as assigned.

- Strong sense of partnership and works well with cross functional teams
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent analytical skills, strong sense of organization, detailed oriented
- Proficiency in MS office (Outlook, Word, Excel) as well as internet navigation
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position with a work schedule of Monday-Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm with some schedule variations as needed.
Travel
No travel is expected for this position.
