Cleveland Clinic's Division of Radiology offers a full spectrum of radiological services provided by nationally recognized, subspecialized radiologists. The Strongsville Family Health and Surgery Center includes treatment of acute stroke, magnetic resonance angiography, three-dimensional imaging, digital radiography, digital mammography, cardiac magnetic resonance, cartilage imaging, electronic image distribution, MRI, CT, mammography, DEXA, ultrasound and intravascular ultrasound. As a Radiologist Technologist, you will use your knowledge and learned skills to operate various types of x-ray equipment, including stationary unity, mobile machines, C-arms and fluoroscopy systems, to provide physicians with images to help diagnose conditions.

This role offers opportunities to transition from PRN status to full-time employment, leadership roles, other modalities. On this team, your efforts can help facilitate a welcoming, calming and healing environment to relieve any discomfort or unease patients may feel throughout the exam process.

A caregiver in this role works days 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. with occasional weekend shifts

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

  • Produce quality images for interpretation with accuracy and without delay.  

  • Acquire, archive, transmit and print images via PACS.  

  • Ensure patient comfort and safety during and after the exam.  

  • Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation.  

  • Maintain documentation.  

  • Address equipment malfunctions, notify management and report malfunctions to the help desk and PACS administrator.  

  • Assist with scheduling procedures, monitor and determine priority of patients, and process billing. 

  • Performs and assists with general radiology, portable, and fluoroscopic procedures.

  • Provides instruction and mentoring to new hires and Radiology students.

  • Potentially rotates through all diagnostic imaging modalities, sites and/or locations.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology

  • Registered Technologist by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in good standing 

  • Current state licensure as a Radiology Technologist

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)

  • Knowledge of anatomy and related pathologic processes

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • One year of experience as a General Radiologic Technologist

Physical Requirements:

  • Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.

  • Must be able to lift or assist with lifting patients of varying weight and manipulate equipment daily.
