As a Security Officer - Distribution Site - Full Time in Hopewell Junction, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more .

As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a leading technology, media, and telecom location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting regular patrols throughout assigned areas. Your presence will contribute to a secure environment, as you remain visible and approachable to employees and visitors. You will be responsible for monitoring access points, assisting with badge control, and responding to various situations with professionalism and a customer-focused approach. This role places a strong emphasis on communication and teamwork, as you collaborate with others to address concerns and provide guidance. What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting a secure environment for employees and visitors.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including both interior and exterior areas, to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Maintain awareness of surroundings within a technology-focused environment, adapting to changing conditions and unique operational needs.
• Document observations and report incidents or unusual circumstances to Allied Universal management and/or client representatives as required.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entry points and verifying credentials as needed.
• Support the overall security-related operations of the location by collaborating with team members and providing updates on daily activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
