Asset Backed Securities (ABS) Originations 

Job Summary:

As an ABS Originator, you will manage projects independently, be comfortable working with external constituents and be ready to assume a high level of responsibility as a member of the team. We look for candidates with excellent quantitative, analytical and communication skills. You must have the ability to work well under pressure in a team environment and have the aptitude to synthesize and model large amounts of information and develop innovative solutions. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Exposure to senior management on an ongoing and regular basis
  • Direct interaction with clients, J.P. Morgan client coverage teams, credit colleagues, rating agencies, legal counsel, investors and others
  • An intense team work environment
  • Acquisition of knowledge related to securitized products
  • Preparation of presentation materials
  • Participation in client pitches 
  • Cash flow modeling and analysis
  • General deal execution 
  • Assisting on bids for loan collateral pools
  • Collateral surveillance and analysis and industry/product research

Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills:

  • Strong teamwork skills and ability to work with stakeholders in multi-cultural environments
  • Highly organized, detail oriented, and proactive
  • Excellent quantitative and analytical skills, including a high degree of proficiency with MS Excel
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; proficiency with MS PowerPoint and MS Word

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills:

  • Fluency in Spanish or Portuguese is a plus
