About the Role:
We are currently looking for a Financial Reporting Senior Accountant within the Financial Reporting unit in our Warren, New Jersey headquarters. This is a hybrid position working 3 days onsite, 2 remote.
In this role, you'll take ownership of key areas like stock-based compensation and benefit plan accounting, making a meaningful impact while working alongside a collaborative and experienced team
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Prepare, process, and document stock-based compensation transactions such as cancellations, vestings, and grants, including processing journal entries and maintaining complete documentation.
Assist in completion of quarterly close process with preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, elimination and consolidation etc. with a focus on stock-based compensation and benefit plans.
Preparation of quarterly and annual SEC financial statement disclosures such as Earnings Per Share, stock-based compensation disclosures, and benefit plan disclosure information in accordance with US Generally Accepted Accounting Principals (GAAP).
Assist with preparation and processing of capital transaction activities such as shareholder dividends and treasury share repurchases.
Assist with processing of Form 4 filings with the SEC (Workiva experience preferred)
Preparation of annual Proxy disclosures related to stock-based compensation
Assist with preparation of GAAP financial statements for the Company’s employee benefit plans.
Conduct accounting policy research including peer benchmarks.
Working closely with internal and external auditors.
Assists with maintaining SOX internal control documentation for the financial statement reporting process.
Work Experience & Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree majoring in accounting is preferred, or a degree majoring in finance or business with relevant accounting coursework experience is required.
3-5 years of accounting experience required, stock-based compensation accounting experience is preferred.
GAAP reporting knowledge is required, and SEC knowledge is preferred.
SOX experience preferred.
Experience using any of the following software/online tools is strongly preferred: Oracle Ledger Software, Computershare, Shareworks, Workiva/WDesk
Advanced Excel Skills (i.e. Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP)
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Detail-oriented, excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
Ability to work with others as a team player or independently on an individual task.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
Ability to meet reporting deadlines.
Overtime may be required during peak reporting periods.
The base salary range for this position is $75,000 - $99,000 annually. The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, experience, qualifications and work location.
