As an Accounts Payable Analyst, your key responsibility will be to independently, accurately, and consistently maintain and complete assigned accounts payable functions, for the company, and in accordance with the Open Access Transmission Tariff, in a manner that minimizes errors, redundances, discrepancies, audits, and reconciliations. By completing assigned tasks effectively and timely, an AP Analyst contributes to the accounting department operating in an effective and efficient manner
In one year as the Accounts Payable Analyst, you will know you were successful if you:
- Developed and implemented procedures to support the market and transmission settlement process.
- Identified improvements to settlement procedures and software to improve accuracy, efficiency, and timeliness.
- Navigated the steps of invoice verification, coding, and processing, and ensured alignment with the company’s policies and procedures.
- Independently ensuring accurate and efficient issuance of year-end tax documents to suppliers
We are looking for someone who possesses the following:
- Required: Bachelor’s degree or 4 years equivalent experience.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting/finance.
- Preferably familiar with electric utility industry accounting practices.
- Familiarity with computer accounting systems, preferably Oracle.
- Preferably experienced with Concur Solutions.
Appropriate level will be determined based upon experience and knowledge.
