About the role

At Global Partners, the Senior IT Business Analyst, Enterprise Applications serves as the face of IT that liaises with various corporate departments or business units. Successful candidates elicit and validate business needs, design, develop and support the launch of efficient technology solutions. Activities include gathering and compiling user requirements, developing and analyzing data in support of business cases and providing guidance in support of software configurations that ensure efficient and effective utilization of software programs.

This position will focus on enterprise solutions required by and delivered to our corporate customers including HR, IT, Accounting and Legal. Knowledge of Oracle Financials, ServiceNow as well as experience with credit management, environmental management and property management applications is a major plus.

Requirements Gathering and Analysis:

  • Identify Stakeholders: Engage with key stakeholders to understand their needs, objectives, and constraints.

  • Elicit Requirements: Use various techniques (interviews, surveys, workshops) to gather detailed business requirements.

  • Analyze Requirements: Evaluate and refine requirements to ensure they are clear, complete, and feasible.

  • Document Requirements: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, such as business requirements documents (BRDs), functional specifications, and user stories.

  • Business Process Improvement:

  • Map Current Processes: Document and analyze existing business processes to identify inefficiencies or areas for improvement.

  • Design New Processes: Develop and recommend solutions to optimize processes, reduce costs, or improve performance.

  • Implement Changes: Support the implementation of process improvements and ensure they align with business objectives.

  • Solution Design and Evaluation:

  • Develop Solutions: Work with technical teams to design solutions that address business needs, whether through software development, system modifications, or process changes.

  • Evaluate Solutions: Assess potential solutions to ensure they meet business requirements and provide value.

  • Facilitate Testing: Coordinate and support testing efforts to validate that solutions meet the specified requirements.

Project Management Support:

  • Assist with Planning: Contribute to project planning by providing input on scope, timelines, and resources.

  • Track Progress: Monitor project progress, identify risks, and ensure requirements are being met throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Communicate Updates: Provide regular updates to stakeholders and project teams on project status and issues.

Stakeholder Communication and Management:

  • Facilitate Communication: Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure clear and effective communication.

  • Manage Expectations: Address stakeholder concerns and manage expectations to maintain project alignment with business goals.

  • Data Analysis and Reporting:Analyze Data:

  • Use data analysis techniques to interpret business data and support decision making.

  • Create Reports: Develop reports and dashboards to provide insights into business performance and project outcomes.

  • Change Management:Support Change Initiatives:

  • Assist in managing change within the org
