Your Role and Responsibilities
The primary responsibility of the Delivery Project Manager is to manage
efforts of IBM resources and client employees as well as third-party vendors to ensure
that services engagements for integrated solutions are provided to meet the client needs. In this role, the Delivery Project Manager will be responsible for delivering a portfolio of
projects. The Delivery Project Manager works independently but keeps leadership promptly apprised of work status, raising issues of risk to the appropriate level and at the appropriate time; works effectively and efficiently with minimal oversight; advises and provides guidance to other professionals; seeks guidance on key issues as appropriate; and has a solid level of expertise in project management. The IBM Infrastructure Technology Expert Labs Delivery Project Manager is responsible for the overall project plan, budget, structure, schedule and staffing requirements for the delivery organization.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
• Customer facing experience in consulting and professional services
• Proven Project Management experience
• Experience working with multiple project methodologies
• Ability to participate in a virtual office setting and maintain an active and dynamic
presence via phone and email
• Excellent customer service, relationship management, and facilitation skills
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
• Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree
• 7+ years of experience working in a consultative services organization
• Formal Project Management Certification (PMP, Scrum Master, PMI-ACP, or other certifications)
