Summary:
Howmet Aerospace has an opening for a Maintenance Electrical Technician 2nd Shift in our Tucson, AZ location. The Maintenance Electrical Technician is responsible for performing electrical work, maintenance and repair of all production and facility equipment in a manufacturing facility. Responsibilities include the production of banded parts meeting print and specification requirements, the care and maintenance of the equipment, interface with subcontractors in the repair of production and facility equipment. The assurance of safe and healthful workplace and a commitment to employee involvement, participative management, and continuous improvement.
2nd Shift schedule: Monday - Friday; 2:00PM - 10:30PM
- Trade certificate in electrical machine/ facility maintenance and repair, including machining, motor controls. Equivalent experience may be substituted.
- Familiar with the function and operation of a variety of manufacturing equipment and processes (i.e. heading, rolling, drilling, heat treat, plating, band annealing, assembly and facility support.)
- Ability to read equipment, component and wiring drawings and schematics.
- Familiar with Hydraulics and Pneumatics
- Familiar with VFD’s, sensors, PLC’s, controls, bus duct and bus ducts boxes
- Ability to install, troubleshoot, and repair 480V, 240V, 120V, 24VDC, & 5VDC
- Familiar with driving a forklift and scissor lift
- Familiar with MS Office suite
- Team Player
- Takes initiative and follows directions
- Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions of the trades involved
- Minimum of three years’ experience in a manufacturing environment performing machine maintenance and repair
- Preferred
- Ability to install electrical conduit, wiring, switching devices, controls, outlets, fixtures, motors, and other such equipment
- Fabrication experience
- Welding, HVAC, Plumbing and PLC experience a plus
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

This position will physically require the incumbent to perform duties standing, walking, overhead reaching, lifting (35 – 40lbs), pushing and pulling totes, and leaning over machines, all equally on a regular basis.
