Work Schedule: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM. Flexibility required, including the ability to work at multiple locations as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Facilitate smooth patient flow from entry to destination with professionalism and accuracy.
Collect and verify patient demographic and financial information to support optimal reimbursement and clinical outcomes.
Schedule appointments and conduct patient interviews to gather necessary medical information.
Clearly explain departmental and hospital policies, including charges.
Accurately enter charges into appropriate systems and collect required payments.
Answer incoming calls and direct patients and visitors appropriately.
Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in a healthcare setting.
Familiarity with medical coding (ICD-10, CPT) is a plus.
Ability to interpret insurance information.
Knowledge of clinical practices and medical terminology preferred.
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
